Desert Gardens is a non-profit, registered charitable organization. Our mandate is to provide low cost meals, social activities, health & fitness, and education to seniors. Our annual membership fee is $15.00 which runs for January 1st to December 31st. Anyone who is 55 or older is eligible to become a member.
As a member you are invited to participate in our various activities and special events as well as you are given a vote on motions brought forth at our Annual General Meeting. Your membership also entitles you to celebrate your birthday with a free dinner at our bi-monthly Birthday Dinners. You may also become an associate member if you do not meet the age criteria, whereby you may participate in all activities and meetings but you do you not hold a vote at the AGM.
But most importantly, by becoming a member, you become a supporter of Desert Gardens Seniors Community Centre. Membership allows us to fund and keep our costs low for seniors programs and activities as well as helps with maintenance and up keep of our centre.
We thank you for your support. Please let us know if you have any new ideas or suggestions for us. Memberships may be purchased at the front desk at any time. We strongly encourage all users of our facility to become members.
